Pastor Samuel Valverde's Biography

Pastor Sam Valverde has been the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Truth for 25 years. Together with his wife Raquel and their sons Samuel Jr. (Now married to Celeste),Timothy (now married to Sonia) and their daughter Rachel Anne, they have overseen the growth of FTC from 84 members in 1984 to a membership total of 1,300 as of October 2009. During this time, he has developed and launched over 25 programs that reach out to the needs of families. These ministries range from helping the elderly, teaching children, developing marriage relationships and also reaching out the community.

Over the years, Pastor Valverde has served in many areas of Christian ministry including Founder and Principal of the San Ysidro Apostolic Church Academy, Teacher at Texas Bible Seminary, and writer for the Apostolic Expositor, the official Sunday School study guide for the Apostolic Assembly. He also has a BA in Theology from Latin American Theological Seminary in La Puente, CA and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Christian Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. In 1990, he was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus Inc. as the Secretary of Christian Education. Eight years later, he was elected as the General Secretary. He is currently the Vice President of the Apostolic Assembly and is the chairman of several commissions which include the revision of the constitution, the restoration process, and most recently a roadmap for the future. He has also traveled abroad over 40 times and preached, given seminars and workshops in over 14 countries including Italy, El Salvador, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Belize and many more. He has also written doctrinal bible studies which include: Trees of Righteousness and My Dove is But One and many more bible study lessons. He currently resides in Alta Loma, California.
